How to Apply for Need-Based Financial Aid
All accepted and wait-listed applicants are invited to submit their financial information as soon as possible. The priority application deadline for students is April 1st. Although wait-listed applicants will not be awarded until after their official acceptance, early submission allows us to process your request in a more timely manner if you receive an acceptance offer. Therefore, you are encouraged to submit financial paperwork regardless of your admissions status.
Step 1: Go online to studentaid.gov and complete the 2024-2025 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Washington University has 2 branch locations. You MUST SELECT the School of Medicine – G24620. If you are completing a renewal FAFSA and have forgotten your FSA ID please click here.
Step 2: Additional Information Due to changes in the 24-25 FAFSA application, parent financial information will only be captured on the CSS Profile. Once accepted into the MD program, additional information will be sent regarding the completion of the online CSS Profile for parents and applicants. This will include a FREE access code to use.
